About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to architect, build, and optimize our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing scalable data pipelines, maintaining enterprise-grade databases, ensuring data reliability, and enabling advanced analytics across the organization. Your work will serve as the technical backbone for data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and maintain scalable relational and distributed databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and manage data warehouses and data lake solutions for analytics workloads.
- Implement data ingestion frameworks and automate data workflows using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
- Write robust, optimized SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures for performance-sensitive workloads.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts and Business Teams to deliver analytical data models, marts, and datasets.
- Implement data quality checks, governance practices, and ensure data integrity and security.
- Monitor system performance and perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Maintain documentation and enforce best practices in data architecture and DevOps/data engineering cycles.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a scalable data engineering culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Developer, or similar role.
- Strong command of SQL and RDBMS tuning, indexing, partitioning, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, etc.).
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and OLAP systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP is a plus).
- Good understanding of distributed data systems, streaming (Kafka/Spark) is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with BI teams for KPI dashboards and analytics.
- Strong analytical mindset, communication, and problem-solving skills.
