Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines.
- Develop and maintain reliable data architectures across structured and unstructured sources.
- Collaborate with database developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data needs are met.
- Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and infrastructure.
- Maintain data quality and consistency across multiple systems.
- Integrate data from various sources into centralized databases and data warehouses.
- Work with large datasets to support data science, analytics, and reporting functions.
- Assist in data migration and consolidation from legacy systems.
- Implement and enforce data governance, security, and backup strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
- Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline development.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau is a plus.
- Understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Access.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
